1 killed in crash near SR 167 in Kent



KENT, Wash. -- One man was killed another hurt in a two-car crash Tuesday morning on S 277th Street in Kent.

According to the King County Sheriff's Office, the van heading eastbound crossed the center line and struck a vehicle traveling westbound. The driver of the van died at the scene.

The other driver was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

S 277th St was blocked from 55th Ave S to the West Valley Highway. The road reopened to traffic around 11 a.m.

Sgt. Cindi West said at least one witness told police that the van had been driving erratically just before the crash. She said the names and ages of those involved were not yet known.
