(CNN) — Friends who rented an Airbnb home near Paris made a gruesome discovery Saturday, finding the corpse of a woman in the garden.

The friends had been renting the house, in the town of Palaiseau, just south of Paris, for a weekend party when they found the body.

The corpse of a woman aged between 30 and 50 was fully dressed and barefoot, police told CNN.

The friends who rented the house were questioned by police Sunday.

A postmortem is being done on the badly decomposed body.

The cause of death remains unknown, but police are treating it as a criminal matter.
