Drugs found in Puget Sound salmon

SEATTLE -- Researchers say salmon in the Puget Sound are on a variety of drugs, including anti-depressants and cocaine.

According to our news partners at The Seattle Times, dozens of drugs are showing up in the fish because of contaminated water. Some of the more common drugs found in water near sewage-treatment plants include Flonase, Tylenol and Valium. Part of the problem may be related to how the wastewater is processed.

Researchers say it's unclear at this point if the levels are high enough to have any effect on people.
