Seattle police shoot armed man in Wedgwood

SEATTLE - Police in Seattle are investigating after two officers shot a suspect in the Wedgwood neighborhood.

According to police, just before 4 p.m. on Sunday,  officers were investigating a suspicious car in in the 2100 block of NE 85th street. The officers saw a known felon who was armed. Officers made contact with him and he refused their commands. The two officers then fired at the suspect, hitting him.

The Seattle Fire department transported the suspect to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Per department policy, the two officers involved will be placed on paid administrative leave during the investigation.
