Students at Thurgood Marshall learn about school's namesake as part of Black History Month (VIDEO)

SEATTLE -- Some young Seattle student celebrated an important man ... and month ... in U.S. history.

Children at Thurgood Marshall Elementary held an assembly during Black History Month to learn about their school's namesake -- Justice Thurgood Marshall, the first African-American Supreme Court justice.

Every year, the school invites lawyers and judges to teach the kids about their professions, and black history as a whole.
