Convicted felon, armed robbery suspect who escaped into Yakima County vineyard -- arrested after 10-hour standoff

FUGITIVE CAPTURED February 12, 2016 --
The Yakima County Sheriff's Office says Francis 'Frank' White was arrested Friday morning after an approximately 10 hour standoff at a lower Yakima Valley residence.

Detectives say he had a gun when he surrendered at the end of the standoff.

Detectives say no one was hurt.

He is in custody at the Yakama Nation jail and the sheriff's office says he will be transferred to the Yakima County Jail in the coming days to face state charges of robbery and weapons charges.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN YAKIMA COUNTY February 5, 2016 --
The hunt is on in Yakima County tonight for a convicted felon who escaped from deputies after an armed robbery.

Francis "Frank" White was inside a car that deputies stopped on Sunday morning between Wapato and Toppenish.

They say he was armed with a gun, ran off into a vineyard -- and hasn't been since.

Two other suspects inside the car were arrested.

White’s been busted before for running from cops and resisting arrest.

He's wanted in Yakima County for the escape and in Toppenish for the armed robbery.
