Brother of Tacoma gas-station murder suspect turns himself in

TACOMA - The brother of the man suspected in Monday's homicide at an AM/PM in Tacoma has turned himself in, Tacoma police said Thursday morning.

Rashaad Dominique Grott, 22, turned himself in to police in West Hollywood, Calif., on Wednesday.

Pierce County prosecutors charged Rott's brother, Robert Deshawn Grott, on Wednesday in in the murder of 23-year-old Julian Jemar Thomas. Police believe Thomas fired 46 rounds into Thomas' car, hitting him 10 times.

Police believe Rashaad Grott drove Robert Grott to California after the shooting, and prosecutors charged him with criminal assistance on Wednesday.
