New musical theatre program off to roaring success at UW

SEATTLE -- A very special production is on stage right now at the University of Washington.

'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee' shares the journey of six teens vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime.

This is only the second production of the new UW musical theatre department.

Production director Brandon Ivie joined Q13 News Friday morning to talk about the show and the new department.
