2 people injured in shooting on SR 167

AUBURN, Wash. -- A stretch of SR 167 is back open after two people were shot in their car.

According to the Washington State Patrol, troopers found a car in a ditch around 10:30 Monday night on SR 167 at 15th Street NW.

A man and woman were shot. Troopers say their conditions are not life-threatening.

Just before the shooting, several people called 911 to report two cars driving erratically.

Troopers say there were four people inside the victim's car but only two were injured. The car had at least six bullet holes.

The shooter in the other car escaped. Troopers believe the shooting may be gang-related and they would like to speak with anyone who witnessed what happened.
