3 injured when bus hits pedestrian in Seattle

SEATTLE — Three people were hurt, one of them critically, when a bus collided with a pedestrian Monday afternoon in Seattle.

Seattle police were called around 1 p.m. to 14th Ave S & S Atlantic St.

According to the Seattle Fire Department, two people were taken to Harborview Medical Center, one with serious injuries. A third person, who was a bus passenger, refused treatment.

A King County Metro official said the bus was route 36 southbound.

Authorities said traffic may be heavy in the area while officers investigate.
