Kirkland police seeking this Subaru Outback in hit-and-run of bicyclist

KIRKLAND, Wash. -- Kirkland police released pictures of a vehicle that may have been involved in a hit-and-run of a bicyclist in the parking lot of the Avalon Apartments early Friday.

A witness to the 8 a.m. collision, a construction worker at a nearby site, attempted to follow the suspect vehicle but the driver eluded him, police said. The victim suffered injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center.

The police department's preliminary investigation has resulted in a description of what may be the suspect’s vehicle: a 1995-2000 model of a Subaru Outback (wagon) with a Washington license plate beginning with the letter “A.”
