Seahawks to play Vikings in NFC Wild Card

SEATTLE -- The Seattle Seahawks will face the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Wild Card round of the playoffs .

The Seahawks (10-6) sealed the No. 6 seed with today’s 36-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals (13-3) in Glendale on Sunday.

With a 20-13 win over the Packers Sunday night, the Vikings secured the NFC North title and a home game against the Seahawks on Sunday, January 10th. The Packers will have to beat Washington on the road next Sunday to keep their Super Bowl hopes alive.

The Cardinals earned a first-round bye, but because of the loss to the Seahawks and Carolina’s win over Tampa Bay on Sunday, Arizona saw its chance for home-field advantage through the entire playoffs slip away. Instead, the Carolina Panthers clinched home-field advantage with a 38-10 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
