Stolen car rams Renton Police vehicle

RENTON, Wash -- Six juveniles have been arrested after a stolen car rammed a Renton Police patrol vehicle on Friday night.

Renton Police say that around 8:35 p.m. officers noticed a stolen vehicle driving near Gene Coulon Park. The car was driving with second car that officers later determined was also stolen. Police tailed both cars to the intersection of N 6th Street and Nishiwaki Lane, where they attempted to pull the first vehicle over. Both of the cars fled, and one of them rammed a police vehicle while trying to make an escape.

The ramming car was stopped on N 6th Street near Park Ave. The second car crashed into a ditch. 6 juveniles were arrested, officers expect them to be charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and assault.

The police officer driving the car that was rammed had to be taken to the Valley Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
