It's snowing really, really hard on Snoqualmie Pass today

SNOQUALMIE PASS – If you don’t absolutely have to drive over Snoqualmie Pass on Wednesday, you probably shouldn’t.

Chains or all-wheel drive are required after a huge amount of snow fell again on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning – with yet more in the forecast.

Interstate 90 has been closed a number of times over the past week as crews have worked to clean up an endless string of spin-outs and to work on avalanche control.

The Washington State Department of Transportation said the pass was going to be closed westbound at 10:45 a.m. for an undetermined length of time for avalanche control. A closure on Stevens Pass for avalanche control was rescheduled from Wednesday morning to Thursday morning.
