Detectives arrest man, 19, in shooting death of 17-year-old at Everett party

EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — The Snohomish County Sheriff's office says detectives arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a shooting at an Everett house party that left a 17-year-old boy dead.

Authorities said a 9-1-1 call reported possible shots fired at a loud house party at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Officers responded but found nothing.

But shortly after 4 a.m. a man with bullet wounds was dropped off at Swedish Hospital. Officials say the man was moved to Harborview Medical Center where he died Saturday afternoon.

Police went back to the location of the house party and found the car they believe was used to take the victim to the hospital. Deputies found blood inside the vehicle.

Officials have not yet identified the victim.

The 19-year-old suspect is being held for investigation of 1st degree murder. He has not been identified because he has not yet been charged.

Detectives are investigating whether the shooting was gang-related.
