Wet weather causing problems for the South Sound

KENT - From King County to Pierce County, roads are closed, trees are down and drivers are nervous.

"It's been pretty bad," said Karen Chandler of Kent. "The streets have been flooded and they closed down James Street."

A few brave souls risked the ride through the water, but the only ones we saw enjoying the wet weather were webbed and winged as parks turned into ponds.

In Puyallup, debris was scattered on the sidewalk after a massive tree came crashing down. Busy intersections were flooded, prompting some white knuckle driving.

"It's been kind of scary," said one driver, Courtney Becks. "Everybody's been slowing down just going a few miles an hour trying to get through it."

In Graham Old Kapowsin Highway was flooded in multiple locations.

Urban creeks and flooded were in danger of flooding Wednesday morning.
