Police: 19-year-old Federal Way man shot in head, critically injured in Tukwila

TUKWILA, Wash. — A 19-year-old Federal Way man was shot in the head Tuesday night during a physical fight between several young men, Tukwila police said.

Spokeman Eric Drever said officials were dispatched at about 5:15 p.m. to the 14800 block of Tukwila International Boulevard after witnesses reported a man had been shot. Officers found the Federal Way man on the ground and determined he had shot a single time in the head.

Witnesses told police that the shooting occurred at a close range during a physical fight between several men. The group fled in different directions after the gunshot. Police were unable to find the suspects in the immediate area.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
