KALAMA, Wash. (KPTV) — Flooding in downtown Kalama forced the evacuation of the fire and police stations and City Hall Tuesday night, the Cowlitz County Emergency Operations Center said.

Cowlitz County declared a flood emergency late Tuesday night.

According to KPTV in Portland, the Cowlitz County Emergency Operations Center said at least one deputy was trapped between two landslides in the 700 block of Kalama River Road. But KPTV reported later that the deputy and a man were rescued and were uninjured.
