Dorian Haddix murder: King County detectives still need public's help to finish 2015 case

CASE UPDATE March 30, 2018 --
King County detectives and the father of murder victim, Dorian Haddix, are reminding the public that no one has been charged in the case.

Dorian was found shot to death on a road in Covington in 2015. A neighbor heard a gunshot and found him bleeding in the street.

Detectives have zeroed-in on  a suspect since last summer, but still do not have enough information for prosecutors to charge him.

I know there are people who know who he is and may not have an allegiance to him anymore, so maybe they want the $1,000 cash reward being offered by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477), or using the P3 Tips App.

Dorian's mother is pleading with you to call in a tip.

CASE UPDATE September 30, 2016 --
King County detectives say they have zeroed in on a suspect but don't have enough information for prosecutors to charge them, so they need anyone who may hold that final piece of information that will solve this case to come forward.

"We did make an arrest in December and we`re still working on the case, but we want more collaborating evidence in order to file a rock-solid case on our suspect," says King County Sgt. Cindi West. "Somebody was told something. Somebody may have seen something and all we`re asking is for you to come forward. Whatever your motivation is, whether it`s for the Crime Stoppers reward, or just to help put this person behind bars that took this young man`s life, whatever your motivation is, please call us."

------ORIGINAL CASE-------

KILLER WANTED IN SEATTLE December 4, 2015 --
Investigators have no idea who shot and killed a Seattle man, whose body was found on a road in Covington last month. But the family is hoping someone will come forward to provide answers.

"November 18th, 2015, was by far the worst day of my entire life," said Dawnese Witherspoon, mother of murder victim Dorian Haddix.

She wonders why her son, who lived in Seattle, was at SE Timberlane Boulevard and 185th Court SE in Covington on that date. And why he was murdered.

King County sheriff's Sgt. Cindi West said, "Somebody knows something about this case. There's somebody out there that did this, hopefully they've talked to somebody else and we're asking for the public's help to try to find this suspect."

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the killer's arrest. If you have any information, please give them a call at 1-800-222-TIPS.
