SEATTLE – Now THAT’S a birthday present.

In the wake of probably the best game of his career, Russell Wilson was named the NFC offensive player of the week on Wednesday.

Wilson threw for 345 yards and a career-high five touchdowns Sunday as the Seahawks beat the Steelers, 39-30, on Wilson’s 27th birthday.

The Seahawks said he’s the first quarterback to throw for five TDs on his birthday since Warren Moon did it in 1990.

It’s the fifth such award for Wilson, the most a Seahawks quarterback has ever won.
