Woman seriously injured by suspected hit and run vehicle in Edmonds

EDMONDS, Wash - Edmonds police are looking for a black vehicle, suspected in a hit and run collision with a woman in Edmonds.

The 49 year old woman was hit around 8:35pm Sunday at the intersection of Hwy 99 and 236th Street Southwest, Edmonds police spokesman Sgt Shane Hawley told Q13Fox News.

Medics transported the woman to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with a serious head injury, Hawley said.

Police don't have a detailed description of the suspected vehicle, other than it's black in color.

Hawley said that the vehicle was last seen heading south, from the scene.

Highway 99 at 236th St SW will be closed during the police investigation.
