Gunman sought in shooting outside Capitol Hill grocery store

SEATTLE, Wash. -- A shooting outside the Capitol Hill QFC has neighbors uneasy. Police are hunting for the gunman, but those who live work and visit the neighborhood are concerned about yet another episode of gun violence.

Personal dash cam video captured sounds of gunfire and people running for their lives.  According to Seattle Police, four people were hit by gunfire, and another sprayed by glass fragments as windows of the QFC shattered after the shooting outside the Capitol Hill QFC around 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Neighbors like Nick Barbarick say they’re still in shock.

“I go to that QFC almost every day,” said Barbarick. “It blows my mind.”

Witnesses told police they heard an argument between a group of people before shots were fired. In this case, detectives believe all the victims were targets, but it’s still unsettling news for those who fear next time they could be stuck in the crossfire.

“Four people hit that could have been random people watching or trying to get out of the way,” said Barbarick.

All the victims are expected to be okay. Witnesses have reported the shots came from a silver sedan. A security officer at the QFC say they hired his company in response to the recent shooting.
