Snow falls in Pullman just in time for Dad's Weekend

PULLMAN, Wash. – A lot of Dads pulled the ol’ tire chains out of the garage Thursday.

Snow fell in the Palouse on Thursday afternoon for the first time this year - just in time for Dad’s Weekend at Washington State University.

Q13 meteorologist Walter Kelley said the drive over should be just fine – although the drive home might not be, if you get a late start.

“The snow level is going back up to 6,000 feet, but it could come back down to 3,000 in the passes on Sunday night,” he said. “But it shouldn’t come down until late.”

Dad’s weekend runs Friday-Sunday, and features the Cougars playing host to Arizona State on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
