CAPTURED: Pink-haired thief steals laptops and phones from startup while people work nearby

CAPTURED Oct. 29, 2015 --

Thanks to a Crime Stoppers tip, the Pebble Bee burglar was identified and taken into custody today when she returned to a clinic in the same building where the business is located. Her name is Carrie Reynolds.

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Police are hoping you can help them identify the woman who broke into a local business, while people were working inside.

“She doesn't fit the bill, that's for sure.”

Daniel Daoura has watched the surveillance video several times, but he still can’t believe the woman who broke into his office last week. He says she doesn’t look how he thought a burglar would.

“Not at all,” he says. “She was well dressed, well presented, she was wearing glasses, just looked like a normal person.”

That’s why he thinks she didn’t attract any suspicion when she walked up to their front door Thursday evening.

“It wasn't pushed all the way in, and she just pushed it out.”

She walks towards a closed conference room, and then moves away when she appears to hear some voices. Daniel says he was on the other side of the door.

“That’s the worst part, I was literally here interviewing someone. I can go through in my mind what I was talking about to that person in there. At that same time, that person was coming in here stealing stuff. It's very bothering.”

The woman stole several laptops and an iPhone, worth about four thousand dollars. It’s a big loss for a start-up company that just moved into this office space a few weeks ago.

“It’s actually ironic, we help people find their stuff.”

Daniel says his company, Pebblebee, makes electronic tags so people can track down their misplaced keys or personal items. He wishes he had one of those tags on the laptops that were stolen.

“I think maybe we should branch out, start helping people find their stolen stuff as well.”
