1 dead, 2 injured in shooting at crowded Lacey home

LACEY -- One person was killed and two others injured in a shooting late Wendesday at a crowded home in Lacey.

Around 9 p.m., multiple people called 911 to report shots fired at a home in the 6100 block of Ruddell Road SE in Lacey, Thurston County Sheriff's Sgt. Tim Rudolff said. Individuals reported that multiple people fled the scene.

When deputies arrived at the home, they found one person dead from a gunshot wound. While police investigated, two people checked themselves into St. Peter's Hospital with bullet wounds. Sheriff's deputies believe the wounds are related to the shooting.

As many as ten people were in the home when gunfire erupted, deputies said, but many fled the scene. Deputies said early reports indicate the shooting was related to a drug deal gone bad.

This story is breaking and will be updated shortly. Anyone with information on the shooting is encouraged to call 911.
