Help the Seahawks tackle hunger: Donations will be collected at Sunday's game vs. Panthers

The Seattle Seahawks, Delta Air Lines and Northwest Harvest are encouraging 12s to bring nonperishable food items or cash donations to the game this Sunday, Oct. 18, against the Carolina Panthers.

Volunteers will be stationed at all gates to accept contributions.

Some of the most common items needed include: baby food, peanut butter, canned fruits, soups, infant formula, canned vegetables.

Donations are also being accepted online at northwestharvest.org and via text.

Fans interested in donating via text should send "ENDHUNGER" to 80888 to make a $10 donation to Northwest Harvest (the charge will be added to phone bill).

Northwest Harvest is the only independent food bank distributor operating statewide, with a network of more than 360 food banks, meal programs and high-need schools. They provide more than 2 million meals every month to a statewide network of hunger relief programs.
