Semi-truck crashes, hangs over I-5 barrier; traffic into Seattle clogged

SEATTLE -- Two semi-truck crashes on Northbound Interstate 5 into Seattle snarled morning traffic Tuesday.

Around 5 a.m., a semi-truck crashed into a barrier on NB I-5 just north of the Albro exit, closing two lanes and creating long back-ups as the truck dangled precariously on the freeway.

The driver suffered only minor injuries, but the truck hanged over the highway barrier.

Washington State Patrol officials said all lanes of the freeway were blocked intermittently at the crash. The HOV lane of NB I-5 near the Albro exit was expected to be blocked throughout the morning as crews repair the barrier.

Another semi rolled over on NB I-5 near South 320th Street near Federal Way Tuesday morning, partially blocking the right lanes of I-5. No injuries were reported.

Drivers headed from the south Tuesday morning should take alternative routes into Seattle.

These stories are breaking and will be updated throughout the morning.
