Sounders FC stars shed shirts, don pink to fight cancer

SEATTLE – Sounders players are literally giving the shirts off their backs in the fight against breast cancer.

Sounders FC has teamed up with the American Cancer Society to create and sell a new calendar as a way to raise money and raise awareness for breast cancer.

The calendar features a number of shirtless players sporting pink props like hats, signs, mustaches and feather boas.

Supporters can buy the calendar for $20 and proceeds will benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Seattle. They will be available prior to Sunday’s match at The Ninety between 4-6:30pm as well as the Pro Shop location outside the stadium. Season ticket holders will also get a chance to buy a calendar through MatchPass. If there are any calendars left after Sunday, they will be available at all Pro Shop locations while supplies last.
