Elderly woman dies in Lakewood apartment fire

LAKEWOOD -- Fire crews found an elderly woman's body following an early afternoon apartment fire Wednesday in Lakewood.

Around 12 p.m., West Pierce Fire emergency crews were called to the scene of an apartment fire at the Hall Northwest Apartments on 112th Street SE. Fire crews put out the fire, which was contained to a single room, and found an elderly woman's body.

Little other information about the fire was available.
