Calling all 12s: Show off your community devotion in the #12s4good campaign

SEATTLE -- Alright 12s, it's time for you to shine.

Throughout the month of October, the Seattle Seahawks are partnering with defensive end Cliff Avril and CentuyLink to pay special recognition to the best local fans that go above and beyond in their community.

As part of an effort to award goodwill in the community, 12s are encouraged to share their personal stories of accomplishment, giving, and community activism with the hashtag #12s4good. Those with the most powerful stories of giving and achievement stand a chance to win autographed memorabilia as a recognition for their goodwill.

Avril said he has long known the 12s are the greatest fans around. And now, the #12s4good campaign is the chance to prove it.

"The 12s are hands down the best fans in the league," Avril said. "They are more than just passionate and loud on game day -- they are involved in their communities. I'm proud to be working with CenturyLink on this campaign and recognizing those who are making a difference."

At least one lucky 12 will be selected from the hashtag every Tuesday in October to win some memorabilia.

High schools in the Pacific Northwest can get involved as well by sharing their #12s4good stories and including the hashtag and the high school's name. At the end of October, one exemplary school will be selected and awarded a special Seahawks pep rally featuring appearances by Blitz, Sea Gals, Blue Thunder and Avril. Schools may be represented by a particular individual or group that demonstrates its commitment to the community.
