Man convicted of raping 3 women in Seattle in 2014

SEATTLE (AP) — A King County jury has found a man guilty of raping three women, including two sex workers, during a 15-day period in 2014.

The Seattle Times reports that Christopher Beck was found guilty Tuesday of two counts of first-degree rape, one count of second-degree rape and one count of second-degree robbery. He was found not guilty of one count of second-degree robbery.

Prosecutors say Beck raped two women who had advertised themselves as practitioners or erotic massage and a third woman who had posted an ad seeking money to help pay her rent at a motel in exchange for a pair of her underwear.

Beck said during the trial that his encounters with the women were consensual.

Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 9.
