Cops arrest 2 teens accused of car theft, hit-and-run in Seattle

SEATTLE -- Officers arrested two teenagers on Tuesday after police say the pair stole a Jeep and then crashed into another vehicle in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood.

According to Seattle police, officers were called around 3:30 p.m. to the report of a hit-and-run at E. Broadway and E. Thomas Streets. Witnesses told police three people ran from the Jeep.

Officers said the Jeep had been reported stolen four days ago in Kirkland.

Police arrested two of the three suspects, identified as a 14-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy.

Detectives are working to identify the third person who fled the scene after the crash.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured, police said.
