Two hurt as Puyallup police chase domestic violence suspect

PUYALLUP, Wash. -- Police say two people were hurt during a police pursuit Sunday afternoon in Puyallup.

According to Puyallup police, officers were chasing a domestic violence suspect who had the victim in the car.

Police said the driver tried to ram a patrol car, the officer did a pit maneuver, and the suspect's car rolled.

Both the driver and the passenger in the suspect's car were injured. Their conditions were not immediately known.

No police officers were hurt.

Investigators shut down the 2300 block of 7th Ave. SW for the investigation. S. Fruitland was also reduced to one lane at 7th Ave. SW.
