PASCO, Wash. (AP) — The Pasco School District says it has reached a tentative contract agreement with striking teachers.
District spokeswoman Leslee Caul said in an email that the deal was reached at 3:40 a.m. Sunday. The details of the agreement are confidential pending a ratification vote by the Pasco Association of Educators on Monday.
The union’s 1,160 teachers walked off the job on Sept. 1, which would have been the first day of school for the district’s 17,000 students.
School is expected to begin Tuesday.
Teachers in Seattle remain on strike, though talks resumed this weekend.
