Longview woman indicted on federal child pornography charges

LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) — A Longview woman has been indicted on federal charges of producing, distributing and possessing child pornography.

The Daily News reports Joanna Jean Olson was indicted earlier this week following an FBI undercover sting.

According to court documents, the 43-year-old Olson took graphic cellphone images of a two-year-old girl in her home.

Olson allegedly shared the images with a California man over an online messaging service. An undercover FBI agent communicated with the man, who told authorities he received the images from Olson.

The FBI recovered the images at Olson's home; she reportedly admitted taking and sharing them.

Olson worked for PeaceHealth for nine years. PeaceHealth said she has been fired effective September 1. The health system said there is no evidence any inappropriate activities involved patients at its facilities.
