Troopers hope public can help find hit-and-run driver

KING COUNTY -- The Washington State Patrol hopes the public can help find a hit-and-run driver that seriously injured two people on a motorcycle.

Around 9:35 p.m. Thursday, two people on a motorcycle were traveling westbound on Interstate 90 near State Route 900 in Issaquah. Their motorcycle was hit by a mid-1990s Honda or Toyota passing them on the left shoulder of the highway, the Washington State Patrol said.

The crash sent both people on the motorcycle into the air, and they suffered serious injuries. The driver of the car sped away, and did not stop at the crash site.

The driver was last seen driving westbound on I-90 approaching Bellevue.

Troopers said the suspect car should have damage to the right rear door and right rear panel near where it hit the motorcycle.

Anyone with information on this crash is encouraged to call WSP Detective Brody Ford at 425-401-7742.
