The NFL fined Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch $75,000 for not talking to the media after the NFC Championship Game, according to reports. But nobody knew about it until seven months later.

Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio first reported the fine on Tuesday citing a league source.

“If you don’t recall hearing about a $75,000 fine imposed on Lynch for not talking to the media after the NFC Championship Game, there’s a good reason for that,” Florio wrote on NBCSports.com. “The fine had never been previously reported nor disclosed.”

We already knew Lynch had been fined $20,000 for grabbing his crotch after scoring a touchdown in that game.

At the time, ESPN’s Adam Schefter said the NFL was considering imposing an additional fine for not speaking to the media, but no such fine was ever reported.

According to Florio, Lynch learned on Tuesday that an appeals hearing for the fine is now scheduled for August 27.
