How to help pets and livestock displaced by the Washington wildfires

SEATTLE -- We are gathering some websites and Facebook pages that aim to help pets and livestock get out of harm's way in these tragic wildfires. Below are some of the resources we've found- click on the links to find out how you can help:

The Washington State Animal Response Team is coordinating with the American Red Cross to help with animals.

This Facebook page by the National Disaster Animal Response and Recovery Teams aims to help people reunite with their animals and pets they've lost in the fires.

MEOW Cat Rescue in Kirkland took a trip to Omak over the weekend (and are hoping to return again this week) to assist in the pet rescue efforts. They can use donations!

For horses, the Northwest Equine Network has set up a website to help gather resources for those who CAN help horses, and for those who NEED help with their horses.

The American Red Cross is coordinating a lot of the efforts with pets and livestock as well as for people.
