Police investigate Black Diamond girl's death

BLACK DIAMOND - Police are investigating the death of a 6-year-old Black Diamond girl, who died at her home on Saturday.

The Black Diamond Police Department and members of the regional Major Crimes Task Force were called to the 225100 block of Roberts Drive just after 1:30 p.m.
officials reported.

Kent Fire Department Lieutenant Kyle Ohashi said that firefighters from King County Fire District 44 and King County paramedics found the girl unresponsive.

Medics tried but were unsuccessful in reviving the girl, Ohashi said.

The King County Medical Examiner's office will determine the cause of death and release the identity of the girl, Ohashi said.

Police are interviewing family members as part of the investigation. A second child in the home was not involved in the incident, Ohashi said.
