Man pleads not guilty to killing ex-girlfriend, 2-year-old at Bremerton mobile home

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. (AP) — A 30-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges in the fatal shooting of his former girlfriend and a 2-year-old boy at a mobile home park in Bremerton in March.

The Kitsap Sun reports (http://is.gd/Y3OMj3 ) that Geraldo Castro DeJesus entered the plea Friday in Kitsap County Superior Court, a day after he was arrested at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, where he works as a painter.

He was being held on $2 million bail.

Heather Kelso and her roommate's toddler son, Kaden Lum, were shot to death at the Kariotis Mobile Home Park. A visiting neighbor was also shot but survived; DeJesus pleaded not guilty to first-degree assault in that shooting.

Kelso had obtained a restraining order against DeJesus on March 5. The order indicates that they had a child together.
