WANTED BY U.S. MARSHALS --

The U.S. Marshals are asking for your help finding Chase Michell. He has a federal warrant for assault in Indian Country on a Child under the age of 16 resulting in substantial bodily injury.

On July 21 near Spokane, deputies say Michell was taking care of his girlfriend’s 2 ½ year old daughter. The child’s mother was out-of-town working. That afternoon, the child’s grandmother just happened to stop by the apartment, where she ended up finding the child face down in her bed. The grandmother could see bruises on her head and the child had a bloody nose. The child was barely responsive. She said she found Michell passed out in bed from drinking and say he later fled the scene after being confronted about the assault on the child.

The grandmother took the child to the hospital, where it was discovered she had bruising on both sides of her head and a “Y” shaped fracture of her skull, that was 3 inches on one side and 4 inches on the other.

Michell has family and friends in the South Bend/Raymond area of Washington and it is believed that someone in that area is helping him to evade arrest.
