Truck driver found dead in Fife after sexual assault reported in North Bend

NORTH BEND, Wash. -- A truck driver suspected in a sexual assault at the North Bend truck stop was found dead in his truck in Fife later, Snoqualmie police said Wednesday.

The Snoqualmie Police Department said they were called at about 8 a.m. Tuesday to the North Bend truck stop, where a woman reported she had been physically and sexually assaulted by an unknown male truck driver.

The department said the truck was tracked by GPS to another truck stop in Fife, where officers found the 44-year-old driver from Kentucky dead inside the truck.

Police did not say how he died.

The case is under investigation by the Fife Police Department.
