Deputies recover stolen patrol SUV, arrest suspect following lengthy manhunt

NORTH BEND, Wash. -- King Co. Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man who allegedly stole one of their vehicles during an arrest Saturday morning.

Deputies were first called to SE 79th St. & SE Reinig Rd. in Snoqualmie around 8:30 a.m., after neighbors reported a suspicious person in the area.

When investigators arrived, they found a man with several warrants out for his arrest.

KCSO has now identified that man as 26-year-old Snoqualmie resident Teddy Bell.

After he was detained, deputies said Bell was somehow able to get into the driver's seat of a patrol SUV--and drive it away--while handcuffed.

The stolen SUV was recovered just after 10 a.m. near Rattlesnake Lake, but deputies, K9s, and a helicopter were unable to locate Bell until just after 2 p.m.

His previous warrants include charges of vandalism, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of stolen property.

He also has a previous felony probation violation out of Florida.
