Former Everett firefighter pleads guilty to agreeing to pay for sex with teen

SEATTLE (AP) — A former Everett firefighter accused of agreeing to pay for sex with a 15-year-old girl has pleaded guilty to sex crimes.

The Daily Herald of Everett reports that 60-year-old David "Pete" Vier pleaded guilty Monday to communicating with a minor for immoral purposes and two counts of second-degree promoting prostitution. He faces up to a year behind bars.

Seattle police say Vier last year agreed to pay for sex with a fictional teenager.

He has been booked into jail and his sentencing is scheduled for July 31. Prosecutors are expected to recommend that he serve eight months.
