Toddler accidentally killed when father hits him with car

GRANDVIEW, Wash. (AP) — A toddler was accidentally killed when he wandered outside his Grandview house and was struck by his father's car.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports that Grandview police performed CPR on the 18-month-old boy who was later pronounced dead at PMH Hospital in Prosser.

Police say no charges will be recommended against the 28-year-old father.

They say he did not see the boy leave the house and did not notice him in front of the vehicle as he pulled forward.

No further information was released.
