5-year-old boy struck by pickup truck in Seattle in serious condition



SEATTLE -- Police are investigating after a 5-year-old boy was truck by a pickup truck Friday morning in south Seattle.

According to Seattle police, the boy was in the street at Rainier Avenue South & South Orcas Street when he was struck by a pickup around 9 a.m.

The boy, identified as Usaf Abraham, is in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center.

The full extent of his injuries was not known.

Detectives remained at the scene interviewing the driver to determine the circumstances and cause of the collision.

Police said a portion of Rainier Avenue would remain closed during the investigation.
