Report: Mother smoking meth in car had 15-month-old in backseat

EVERETT -- Police arrested a 24-year-old mother Friday in Everett after officers allegedly found her smoking meth with a man in her car with the windows rolled halfway up. Her 15-month-old girl was in the back seat.

Officers pulled over a car Friday in the 9500 block of Edmonds Way, the Everett Herald reported.  Police allegedly spotted the Lynnwood mother passing a pipe with a 24-year-old Bothell man. Police moved to arrest the pair when they noticed the little girl in the backseat.

Both suspects allegedly admitted to smoking meth. They were arrested for investigation of criminal mistreatment, the Herald reported.

The girl was turned over to a relative following a medical examination.
