Man shot twice while sitting in car at Seattle intersection

SEATTLE -- Detectives are investigating after a man was shot twice while sitting in his car at an intersection Monday evening in Seattle.

Officers were called to Martin Luther King, Jr. Way South and South Cloverdale Street around 7 p.m.

Police said the victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center where he was listed in critical condtition.

Witnesses heard the gunshots, but were not able to give police information about any potential suspects. Police do not believe the shooting is gang related.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information about this case to call 206-233-5000.

Traffic was shut down and Light Rail service was interrupted for several hours during the investigation.

Police did not have any further information to release.
