Police warn of danger in illegally jumping off Snoqualmie bridge into river

SNOQUALMIE, Wash. -- For many teens seeking to beat the heat, they come to the Snoqualmie Valley Trail Bridge to jump into the cool river below.

But Police Chief Steve McCulley warns that not only is it illegal to jump from the bridge, it is also dangerous during this dry summer. The water level in the river is low, he said, and jumpers could break their legs or injure their heads.
