SEATTLE -- Forecasters say more record heat is on the way, and dry lightning could spark wildfires across Washington.

An Red Flag Warning was in effect for the majority of Washington and Oregon through at least Sunday night.

The National Weather Service reported 84 cloud-to-ground lightning strikes from Lewis County north to Snohomish County between 7 a.m. and noon Sunday.

Officials said more thunderstorms were possible Sunday through Monday morning across the Pacific Northwest.
